In my 5 years at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville, and in the College of Architecture + Design, I have been given some incredible opportunities to further my education and experience in the field of architecture:

  • Being a part of the Haiti-UTK projects by participating in the design and creation of construction documents for a housing development, a construction-technique publication, and currently a clinic, all of which will be implemented and built in Haiti.

  • Working as an architectural intern at Michael Brady, Inc. in Knoxville, TN.  MBI has spent 3 consecutive years on ArchRecord's Top 250 Architecture Firms list.

  • Being an officer and member of AIAS, participating in Freedom By Design, and attending the South Quad conference in Charlotte, NC.

  • Working in the furniture design and fabrication shop of Holler Design in Lascassas, TN.

  • The many site visits and field trips made with students and faculty  to places like Chicago, Marfa, TX, New York City, and Fond-des-Blancs, Haiti.

I believe my time in a top ranked Architecture School has prepared me for a professional career in the field of architecture.  I am currently an Intern Architect at Earl Swensson Associates, Inc. in Nashville, TN, and am working towards completing my IDP requirements and earning my architectural license.
